This is a very light linen at around 80 gsm, much finer than typical shirting or trouser linen. The low weight gives it a soft, airy drape that falls close to the body, so it suits flowing dresses, dupattas and layered kurtas rather than structured trousers. It stays cool and breathable in the heat.

These linens are woven 44 inches wide, well suited to dresses, kurtas, dupattas and light blouses. At this width a shirt or kurti needs about 2.25 metres, while a flowing dress or dupatta uses roughly 2.5 metres. The fabric is sold by the metre so you can order the exact length.

This delicate linen is best dry cleaned, as noted on each product, to protect its fine weave and soft pastel colours. If you do hand wash, use cold water and a very mild detergent, never bleach, and shade dry flat. Iron on a low-to-warm setting while slightly damp to keep the smooth finish.
