Pure Linen Stripes & Checks

These are 100% pure linen fabrics woven from fine European linen yarns in classic stripe and check patterns. Available in 60 and 70 LEA counts at 58 inches wide, they carry woven-in designs such as Natural Grey & White checks, Off-White & Green checks and Light Pink & Beige stripes. It is breathable shirting linen sold by the metre.

The stripes and checks are woven into the linen using dyed yarns, not printed on top. That means the pattern runs right through the cloth, stays sharp wash after wash, and never fades or peels like a surface print. It gives an authentic, tailored look that is ideal for shirts and kurtas.

This striped and checked linen is woven 58 inches wide, making it ideal for shirts, kurtas and dresses. The wide width lets you cut a full shirt from about 1.6 metres with room to pattern-match stripes across seams. At roughly 180 gsm it stays light and breathable for daily wear.

The stripes and checks come in 60 and 70 LEA, both fine shirting-weight counts, weighing around 180 gsm. A higher LEA count means a finer, smoother yarn, so 70 LEA feels a touch crisper and lighter than 60 LEA. Both are soft, breathable and well suited to shirts and light summer clothing.

Hand wash in cold water with a mild detergent, or dry clean, and avoid bleach, which can dull the woven colours. Wash similar shades together, line or shade dry, and iron warm while slightly damp. Because the pattern is yarn-woven, the stripes and checks stay crisp over many washes.
