About this collection
Common questions
What is hand block printed fabric?
Hand block printed fabric is cloth printed by hand using carved wooden blocks, one colour and motif at a time, creating beautiful, artisanal prints. This collection features fine cottons and linens, including pure mul chanderi, in soft summer shades and intricate traditional motifs. It is perfect for kurtas, dupattas, dresses and light everyday wear.
What fabrics and colours does this collection offer?
The range spans fine cottons and linens, including lightweight pure mul chanderi, printed in gentle summer shades like dusty green, dusty blue and grey, charcoal, light peach and soft ivory and brown. With 700+ block-printed designs, you will find delicate florals and traditional motifs for both casual and festive stitching.
Why do hand block prints look slightly different piece to piece?
Because each motif is stamped by hand with a wooden block, small variations in alignment, colour depth and spacing are natural and are the signature of genuine hand block printing, not defects. These little irregularities give every metre a unique, handcrafted character that machine printing cannot reproduce.
How wide is the fabric and how much should I buy?
Many pieces, such as the mul chanderi prints, are around 44 inches wide; check each product page for the exact width. For a kurta buy about 2.5 metres, a dupatta around 2.5 metres, and a dress roughly 2.5 to 3 metres. The fabric is sold by the metre so you order the precise length.
How should I care for hand block printed fabric?
Dry cleaning is recommended for these fine cottons and linens to protect both the fabric and the hand-printed colours. For the first wash especially, keep it separate, avoid bleach and dry in shade. Iron on the reverse while slightly damp. Gentle care keeps the natural dyes and delicate motifs looking fresh for longer.
What is the price and how quickly does it ship?
Hand block printed fabric starts at around Rs.179 per metre, with prices rising for longer lengths and premium pieces up to about Rs.1,929. Orders ship within 24 hours and are delivered pan-India, with free delivery above Rs.1,999 and a 7-day exchange. COD, UPI and cards are accepted at checkout.
